Well, I have some rambling to do.  First of all, I have plans for the New Year.  I really want to start blogging more, I want to be known.  I like blogging and I like posting, for the most part.  I miss having a steady blog and having people that commented regularly.  I posted on Xanga for a long, long time.  One of the things that I miss about that is having everyone where I could easily respond to them.  I was able to view their page quickly… with posting on WordPress, there are anonymous comments and comments from people with blogs on other sites.  It’s not as easy to follow people as it was on Xanga, either.

I recently had my wisdom teeth out (I had them out on Monday) so I’ve managed to knit a baby blanket over break.  Here it is, in all of its glory:

Well, I’ve finally got my knitting for the holidays straightened out.  I’ve been able to decide who I want to knit for and what I want to create for those people.  I think I’m doing really good in that aspect, however, I do have a lot of other things that are going on.

My life isn’t that busy, but my thoughts have been all over the place lately.  I’ve been struggling to deal with the emotions that I am feeling for people and school.  It is hard to handle the coursework sometimes.  Luckily, I don’t have any work over break other than study… which I doubt will get done.

I’ve made a wish list at KnitPicks.com so hopefully I’ll get some of that stuff for Christmas.  I’ve got my fingers crossed, anyway.

I’ve made several things lately, but the most notable one is this:

It is a washrag/dish cloth for my US History DC teacher, Mrs. Hanks.

Of course, I’ve finished that red blanket I made for my cousin, Drake. He’s nearly two months old now and such a cutie. I’m currently working on a beautiful cable scarf.

I thought I was going to post a TON of pictures, but I’ve since decided against it. I tried to load my blog today and it took forever.

I really need to post more often, instead of posting everything at once. I think my stuff is getting too image heavy.

I’m currently in Journalism I and I’m writing an article on study skills. I’m loving that class, because when I finish my work I often get some chill time and I whip out the knitting. I don’t get nearly enough time to knit anymore, because of all the work I’m doing in school. I’m in two advanced classes and I’m doing some pretty hard stuff.

As I may have mentioned, I’m coaching a softball team in my hometown and that is going well. I’ve had a couple of complaints, but that’s the usual. We’ve got practice today, which I’m excited about as usual.

Anyway, leave me love. Remind me to update more often. I’m going to try to set a goal of everytime I finish something… but who knows if that’ll actually happen. Life is catching up to me, it seems. :-/

I’ve been knitting up a storm lately, trying to make this red baby blanket.  Yes, I know.  Red.  It IS something different though.

I’ve continued to knit for my baby cousin, who was born on August 1.  I’m excited… he should come home tomorrow!
That is an Elmo washcloth for him. I gave it to my aunt at her baby shower.

I’ve also made this lovely Wavy Ladders washcloth for Victoria.

I wanted to do some colorwork, with stripes. I’d never done stripes before, at least not when you carry the yarn up the side. This ugly thing is my experiment with it.

Victoria and I decided to go the mall one day and I picked up several yarn purchases from Micheal’s.

Victoria bought this and the yarns that will follow (four in total) for me to make washcloths for her. I don’t mind knitting for her, as long as she is shelling out the $$$ for the yarn.

In an attempt to use up this yarn, I’ve made this scarf out of it. I’m not a fan of this Red Heart Plush crap, so I plan on giving this away to someone I don’t like. *evil grin*

This is my current WIP, a Reversible Basketweave Baby Blanket. It’s boring, but a great way to get all of this red yarn outta my stash.

That’s it for now, really. I’m trying to pick up the pieces of my life, move on with the boy that I want to be with. I don’t know how things will play out, but at the end of the day I’m so lost. He’s torn between me and another girl. I don’t know what makes her better than me. It saddens me.

I’m just going to go and get ready now, I’m quite tired of typing.

Well, well. I’ve bought more yarn along with knitted up a storm. On Thursday, I had the day off work. I decided to go out with a friend, where we bought yarn. She wanted me to make her some things and my grandmother gave us $5 a piece… well she spent her $5 on yarn and then some of my money. She’s getting three washcloths, two of which are already completed and waiting for her arrival. Victoria left this morning for camp and will be gone a week. I don’t know what I’m going to do without her here with me. :-/

First, I saw this skein of Red Heart in purple. My local WalMart does not carry this color, so I paid an extra dollar to get it. Then I went into the WalMart of another nearby city and found it. It burns me up. At least I was supporting local business.

Well, Victoria picked this out as one of her colors.

I picked this, no idea what I’m going to do with it.

I love Cotton Ease. I probably paid too much for it, but this is the only place that I can get it. Selection is limited to 3 colors.

As we all know, I’m addicted to Grandma’s Favorite. This is the sixth one.

And… the seventh.

I guess I’m just going to type this and post… I’d like comments but I won’t beg for them.

First, I made this here cable scarf.

Upon the completion of that, I had another skein of yarn left over so I decided to see how it would look in Garter stitch. I loved it.

After that, I wanted to make a washcloth for my friend who just had her wisdom teeth taken out today. I started the scarf yesterday and finished it this afternoon. Hopefully I will be able to take it to her today.

Well, I’ve done quite a bit of knittin recently.  I’m going to post some of the things that I’ve knitted, as well as purchased.  I’m going to start with the most recent and go down.  How does that sound?

I recently knitted the above for my friend Victoria.  It’s a washcloth.  Her and her father have fallen in love with them.  As long as she supplies me with some yarn, I’ll be happy to knit washcloths for her and her father. 

I’ve made an Irish Hiking Scarf in the past, but I recently completed another one out of sheer boredom.  Here it is.

I think it looks absolutely stunning. 

Before I made Victoria’s washcloth, I had to buy yarn. This is what I purchased:

The pitcher on my softball team’s name is Taylor. I thought that this T is For Taylor was very fitting.

I can see that I haven’t shared this mile long scarf–it really is too long!

I’ve also knit my baby cousin a hat… I don’t like how some of the stitches look but it’s okay I guess.

Based on my Flickr and my past blog entries, that seems to be where I’ve left off. My summer has settled down, so I should have more time for this. I hope, anyway.

I can’t seem to knit a single thing lately! I’ve started so many things and frogged them. I’ve just completed the heel of a sock and realized that something simply isn’t right with it. So I’m going to frog that later tonight and re do it. It is a slipper sock, so it shouldn’t take so long but it is still annoying.

I had started an afghan, but I ended up abandoning that. I’ll probably mail the squares away for charity blankets.
